What a bunch of hypocrites!

The Republicans are ranting and raving about the big deficit and the supposedly government takeover of the health care system in the country.

Most of these old farts who are opposing the health care reform bill are the ones who already have health insurance and most of them are on Medicare – a government run program.

The Republicans in Congress get their pay checks from the BOG government that they abhor, get their health insurance from the BIG government and will get their pension from the same big government. And these morons are ranting and raving about BIG government?

When their fancy homes are damaged by flood or hurricane, these same anti-government hypocrites will be the FIRST one in line demand government assistance.

Peggy Noonan on Sarah Palin – priceless!

All you Republicans should read what Peggy Noonan (highly regarded Republican speech writer) had to say about Palin in her Wall Street Journal (a very conservative newspaper) column on July 10,  2009:

“In television interviews she was out of her depth in a shallow pool. She was limited in her ability to explain and defend her positions, and sometimes in knowing them. She couldn’t say what she read because she didn’t read anything. She was utterly unconcerned by all this and seemed in fact rather proud of it: It was evidence of her authenticity. She experienced criticism as both partisan and cruel because she could see no truth in any of it. She wasn’t thoughtful enough to know she wasn’t thoughtful enough. Her presentation up to the end has been scattered, illogical, manipulative and self-referential to the point of self-reverence. “I’m not wired that way,” “I’m not a quitter,” “I’m standing up for our values.” I’m, I’m, I’m.

In another age it might not have been terrible, but here and now it was actually rather horrifying.”

Peggy’s column was entitled “Farewell to Harms”. Her point is that Palin is harmful both to the Republican Party and to the republic.

Senator Ensign of Nevada

It has been reported in the media that Republican Senator John Ensign paid $95,000 to the family of his former Chief of Staff after having an affair with his wife! Actually it was Ensign’s parents who decided to “make a gift” to the woman’s family.

How nice of these Christian conservatives! That is true family value.

South Carolina Governor caught having an affair

The Republican Governor of South Carolina disappeared for a few days and came back from Argintina admitting to having an affair. The Republican senator from Nevada John Ensign also admitted to having an affair.

Ensign  was on a high horse years ago critizing Clinton for having an affair. Well – another hypocrit bites the dust.

These people join the ranks of Newt Gingrich as hypocrits. What else is new?

Newt made a comment in a recent speech that Obama has “already failed”. It is no surprise coming from someone who has failed as a human being and as a husband.

Newt was having sex with someone who was not his wife when he was on his moral high horse impeaching Bill Clinton for having sex in the Oval Office.  By the way - Newt’s wife was deathly ill at the time.

Nice going – Newt.

The feeding frenzy about Judge Sotomayor’s nomination reached a new low a few days ago.

After the tirades of the big fat idiot Limbaugh and confessed wife-cheater Gingrich, enters CONVICTED FELON G. Gordon Liddy.

In case you have forgotten, Liddy was the moron who got caught and thrown in jail in the Republican Watergate scandal.

He was also the one idiot who held his hand over an open candle flame to prove his “manhood”. Notice he was too chicken to hold his little penis over the candle.

Here is what Liddy said on radio about Sotomoyer: “Let’s hope that the key conferences aren’t when she’s menstruating or something, or just before she’s going to menstruate. That would really be bad. Lord knows what we would get then.”

Nice going Gordie….sounds like you had way too much sex with your fellow inmates in prison. Or perhaps you just got poked in the ears once too often inside prison.

Typical GOP Hypocrite!

I watched on C-span a Republican Congressman talking to a group of high school students. This was part of the Students & Leaders series. The Congressman was John Culberson of Texas. This man’s theme was that that the federal government should get out of everyone’s life – especially his. He ranted and raved about how the federal government has taken away all the rights that are supposed to go to the states and individuals.

Of course, this Congressman neglected to point out to the students that HIS monthly pay checks come from the federal government, his health care plan for his family comes from the federal government and when he retires, his big fat pension is going to come from the federal government.

So we have this anti-federal government congressman feeding at the federal trough.

Oink! Oink! John Culberson – it looks like you are a hypocritical pig!

teenage pregnancy – Republican style

Let’s see now: Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter got pregnant and is now splitting up with the baby’s father. Republicans are very good at lecturing minorities about personal responsibility. They rant and rave about minorities teenagers having babies out of wedlock. They rant about morality. Yet – they are very silent about Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter who acted irresponsibly in her total lack of moral judgment.
